Please contact your state representatives and tell them to keep Law Enforcement and Public Safety personnel as a top priority. The state is already facing a large shortage in public safety staffing and lowering the pay and benefits below current standards would only exacerbate the situation.

Also, the Governor's change to workers compensation has severely crippled law enforcement and all public safety officers who sacrifice their safety and lives to serve our public. Under the new laws, public safety workers who are exposed to being assaulted, killed, in accidents, shot, burned, or otherwise injured are limited in treatment, limited in recovery time, and limited in choices if they are unable to resume the duties they have sworn their lives to. Please contact your local representative and ask them to reform the workers compensation system to protect those who protect you.
